AutoCAD Drawings
PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS
DETAIL
AutoCAD drawings require attention to detail. Every tile installation at FLOOR360 requires an AutoCAD drawing that we give to our installers so that they know how the designer and the client have discussed the tile being installed. Every little thing can change a layout; varying dimensions, different edge finishes, tile size, etc. All of these affect a tile installation.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowing tile and how it is installed is important for an AutoCAD drawing. Some tiles vary in thickness, some tiles cannot be installed in certain applications, some drains are not acceptable in specific situations. Without this knowledge, a tile installation can easily go wrong.

The handful of drawings shown on this page have been completed post graduation, during my time at FLOOR360.
EYE FOR DESIGN
When asked to complete an AutoCAD drawing for a designer, it's not just the tile pattern and edge pieces that I'm inserting into the project's specific dimensions. Each layout can be slightly moved or played with to ensure the best possible layout for not only installers but for aesthetics.
